EastTex CERT - EastTex Regional CERT is a core program of the Rowlett Citizen Corps Council and co-sponsored by Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management. The RCCC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to disaster preparedness and family safety initiatives.
Rowlett Explorer Post One - Exploring is a youth program chartered through Boy Scouts of America's Learning for life organization. The goal is to allow career education for young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20. Exploring provides real life experience to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Explorer Post One is a RCCC program.
Ready.gov - Designed to educate and empower Americans to prepare for and respond to emergencies including natural disasters and potential terrorist attacks. Designed to get the public involved and ultimately to increase the level of basic preparedness across the nation. Contains lots of CERT training material, videos and much more.
Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) - Licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment, with their local ARES leadership, for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.

FEMA Emergency Management Institute (EMI) - The Emergency Management Institute (EMI) offers free, online, self-paced courses designed for people who have emergency management responsibilities and the general public.
IS:315: CERT supplemental training: The Incident Command System - The Incident Command System (ICS) is a proven management system used by emergency managers. Applying ICS during a CERT activation will help maintain the safety of disaster workers, provide clear leadership and organizational structure, and improve the effectiveness of rescue efforts. This three- to four- hour web-based course will cover the principles of ICS and help learners understand how to effectively apply the principles through interactive real-life scenarios.
National Fire Academy Online Courses - Online learning is a terrific option if you want to take National Fire Academy (NFA) classes. These classes are free to fire and emergency services personnel and international students are welcome. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or college credit are available for most courses. Successful completion is added to your NFA transcript and you earn an NFA certificate.
