CERT Class Fee: $25 - This fee covers disposable supplies, moulage, and other administrative costs associated with conducting the Basic CERT G317 class.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The payment must be\u00a0<\/strong>made at the time of registration\u2014no\u00a0refunds will be issued for cancellations within 48 hours of the class or for no-shows. We accept credit\/debit card payments.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe Rowlett Citizen Corps Council encourages citizens to take preparedness seriously to minimize loss of life and property in the event of a disaster.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is highly advised to complete this form and have it notarized before attending the first day.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The class is taught using the FEMA curriculum, but it does not automatically qualify you for an active response team.\u00a0 Graduates are encouraged to contact their local CERT Team for membership requirements.\u00a0 Graduates who live or work in the Rowlett area or Rockwall County communities are welcome to join an RCCC-sponsored team after completing an additional orientation session and background check.<\/span><\/p>\n

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Class<\/span><\/h3>\n

Basic CERT Class<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

During a natural or man-made disaster, CERT teams assist emergency response teams in doing damage assessment, accounting for residents and securing quick, accessible routes into their community. They are trained to be self-sufficient for up to 72 hours without additional resources.<\/span><\/p>\n
